Red face vvvvviiiiibbbbrrraaatttttiiiioooonnn !!!!!

Its that darn 4x4 F150 Lariat again ! Ok, when i'm on flat normal drive at around 65, everything seems fine, then if i give it a little gas or go up an incline or hill even with cruise on, I get this vibration in the whole cab ! Its a deep low shuddering vibration. But in city driving is normal. It does it in 4x2 or 4x4. Do any of you think it could be the transfer case ? or maybe the tranny ?

aaaaaaaaahhhhhh !!!!

Hello TraceRT , my truck did the same thing you described, I changed the tranny fluid and filter and it cured the problem. I've read the newer Ford trannies are sensitive to fluid breakdown.

Hope this helps ....Mike

I was hoping that the problem was that simple. I had the tranny flushed and new fluid put in with one of those machines that does is automatically. It got worse after they were done.

My 4x4 4.6 did the same thing,it wasnt the trans. The dealer said it was the sparkplug wires making my Engine run bad.But it felt like the tranny was going,Its doing it again a year latter right now

Hey there Skiiboat. I did some checking and I think I know what the problem is. You see this thing has 2 rear Ujoints and 5 front U-joints. The rear drive shaft on this one is not split so I'm lucky there. I replaced the two in the rear and will be doing the 5 front this week. If that does not do the trick then I'm replacing he front wheel bearings. I've got 6 new shocks waiting to be put on but I'm doing he U-joints first. I'll let you know how it comes out.
