Unhappy TRANSMISSION TROUBLE "gone"

My f-150 sport 5-speed has 33,000 miles on it and the tranmission went sunday. I drove it saturday night it was fine sunday morning i got in it to go somewhere. When I tried starting it with the clutch pushed in it tried to go forward. I took it out of gear and got it to start then i had trouble getting it into gear. then when i got it in it was grabing after letting it out about an inch from the floor and act real gummy. I don't believe it is the tranny or the clutch more like a fluid problem or a line because nothing was wrong leading up to it. But I did notice about 3-4 inches of play in the clutch pedal about 1 1/2 months before this problem happen I just thought it was breaking in and loosening up. Well the truck goes in tonight will post results. Anyone have this problem before?

Hi Sport

At least it happened under warranty.

Curious...does that tranny still use the "clutch fluid res"? On older models as i recall could make for harder shifting if fluid not right?

Good luck OT

BTW....post fix if you can. tks.
