Question So did I get rip??

Just had my tranny done at jiffy lube.. they drop the pan ,changed the filter ,and then installed new gasket,,, after that they added about 5-6 quarts of fluid and pulled my truck aroud to the Ti-tech machine ,, hooked it to the trans. cooler lines exchanged about 15 quarts or so total cost $$185

I think that is a bit expensive for a fluid & filter change.

Hi 00

Did you see thread on "Filter change"?

Did you get ripped off? If you saw them drop pan/new screen/gasket...back flushed/fill with mach. NO...price, well thats another matter.

The gasket is reuseable if its ok...maybe old gasket was bad?

Considering they dropped pan etc...naturally thats going to raise the price.

Interesting thou...shops here do back flush/fill...DO NOT drop pan or change filter/screen. Whos right/wrong dont know?...Even Ford here does new way..but more $

Good luck...OT

You cannot back flush a transmission, it only goes in one direction thru the pump. the wholesale price for a filter for a 4R100 is $9.71, so the rest was fluid and labor, you decide.
You can back flush the coolant lines.
