I hope I am in the right place. I have a 99 super cab 4.6 V8 with standard transmission. From day one I have noticed that with the clutch to the floor coasting over soft waves in the pavment, I can hear a clunking. I feel it in the shift stick as well. Went to the dealer, but they say they don't hear anything. Has any one else experienced this?

I have the same truck basically, just a year older. I have never felt or heard any clunking with the clutch in or out. I would try to get the service writer to take a ride with you so you can demonstrate it to him.

 

Thanks Bill_Aquino, I will give that another try. I did it once and he could not hear it, but my Bro inlaw does hear it, so I don't think I am hearing things.
