Post Transfer case whine

Anyone else have a low speed whine from the transfer case. If you move the shift lever it actually changes in pitch. It shifts well, guess if you keep the radio up, it's not a problem!

Wink

Stihl-
Actually that is very common for Transfer case whine. All of my 4x4 have had the same thing. Just my two cents

Yup. It's normal to hear some whining thru the manual transfer case lever. Put it in 4Lo and you'll really hear some whining come up thru the lever. These trucks are so quiet that you hear lots of sounds you never did with older models. That's one of the reasons why I went with the ESOF instead of the manual shift I had on the '97.

ok, just was wondering... thought it was going to another trip back to the dealer. You get a little suspect, since the rear went out at 6K. Thanks BTW I've had them replace two belts for that "great" two minute squeal in the mornings...really gives the neighbors a wake up call!
