Ford intentionally programs a soft shift. Supposed to appeal to our feminine sides or some other marketing related drivel. The cure is a shift kit or a computer chip - makes it shift like it should.

The stock shifting is one of the most annoying things about these trucks - worst automatic shifting I've ever driven. Are you listening FORD?

The shift delay on the factory setup is too long. The Superchip removed this completely, and the more acceleration given the harder it shifts. If you manually shift my truck from first to second, it lays a scratch. If your "old school" like me, a shift kit could still be added. Then the wife might be pissed.

What is the deal... My truck goes through this groaning downshift procedure that drives me crazy... Dealer response: its the tires. Tire shops response: its the truck. MY response buy an old ford or new Tundra!
