Question Where Can I Get A Shift Kit? HELP!

Ok I am planning on having my transmission fluid and filter changed in about 2 weeks. I figure that it would also be a good time to install a shift kit! I have been wanting quicker, firmer shifts anyways.

I have a 1993, 302, 2WD F-150 with the AOD. It's the Non-Electronic AOD. It has 51,000 original miles on it. All of the transmission and rear end is totally stock.

I've heard that the best kits are the Art Carr and the Trans GO. I've heard the best on the Trans GO so thats probably what I will go with. Does anyone here have a Trans GO shift kit? If so what do you think of it?

Mainly could someone please give me a place I could order a Trans GO shift kit from?

Thanks!

Hello, I installed a TransGo in my truck and have to say it was the best upgrade I have done! Found gears better, does not hunt for the right gear anymore, shift firmer without killing you and upshifts alot smoother. Of coarse I have a different trans than you but I think you'll be happy with it. Great instuctions and even came with a video.
I ordered mine from Summit Racing. Cost $99 w/ free shipping.
Good luck.

Darnit! I've ordered a Summit Catalog like 4 times now in the last 2 months and still havn't got one. I looked all through their website and I can't find where it lists the different Trans GO kits. It has all the B&M kits but, it says you have to have the part number for the TRANS GO kit to get a price. So could anyone do me a favor and grab their Summit catalog and find the # for a Shift Kit for 1993 FORD AOD Truck I'd really apriciate it!

Or if anyone knows another place besides Summit that has them, that would be great to!

Thanks!

I ordered my TransGo Shift Kit from Summit also. Don't worry about a catalog. I just called and ordered. The correct part arrived in just a few days. TransGo even had a video in the box to walk you through the install.

Ok, I'll probably order a TransGO shift kit tonight from Summit. I need to have my trans oil changed anyways. Anyone have any idea how long it takes for a professional to install a shift kit? I'm trying to figure out how much it will cost me to have the oil and filter changed and have the kit installed IF I BUY ALL THE MATERIALS.

Anyone have any idea?

Also does the transmission work like normal if you put it in DRIVE and just go does it still go through all the gears and stuff like normal?

Thanks!
