I experienced a complete transmission lock-up of my F-150 while driving on the interstate at 70 mph. The transmission is a manual 5 speed on the "Northwoods" edition F-150. The transmission fluid was checked and fine within the last 4 months. The truck has 72k miles and is thus is 12k miles out of warranty.
Is anyone else aware of similar problems with the F-150 manual transmissions? The dealership said 1st and 3rd gears were frozen on the shaft. I would like to request a "goodwill" repair but would like to know if anyone else was aware of similar incidents. Thanks in advance for any information.
