Has anyone run into hydraulic clutch problems? Leakage or otherwise?

all F series trucks 87-up with a 5 speed
have internal slave cylinders. Don't let your mechanic tell you that the internal slave doesn't have to be changed because it should be changed whenever you change the clutch or it will leak from increased pressure. Sine your transmission is already out there is no additional labor just the cost of the part (around 70-150 retail and 55-75 wholesale)

I have had the luxury of replacing quite a few now. I agree with you 100%! Now all I need to do is convince the kids at the dealer of it.

As if I would waste my time with those monkeys if I didn't know what the problem was. Time to talk to the service manager. If I was still in a dealer, I would've replaced the entire hydraulic system, clutch, pressure plate, and machined the flywheel by now.

And that's what I expect.
