Unhappy 5 SPD synchronizers going out AGAIN!!

I bought my F150 4.9L with a little over 80K a couple of years ago, shortly after my purchase the trany blew the 3rd and 4th synchronizer. The dealer rebuilt the trany and all was fine...........so I thought. About a year ago I started having trouble going into 2nd, so I'm expecting the worst to happen. What I would like to do is put in a 4spd , has anyone ever done this? Will my Hydraulic clutch still work? I really dont want to rebuild the one I have as I believe there is something functionally wrong with the case itself. I believe I found a case that will work however, it is a T18 out of a Pre 90'S F150 does that sound right? Any insight will be appreciated.

I have 34K on 3 sets of sycro's in my '98 5-speed, and It feels like its about time for another. I finally figured out not to shift it fast, but that only makes them last a little longer...
Someone recently gave me a new TSB # for the case. When I have time I'm going to try to get that fixed before the warranty is up. I haven't been happy with this tranny at all.

It sounds like there is a problem with that trany in general, If I had a warranty I would certainly have mine repaired, but three times is a lot in such a short amount of time. Wishing you the best and thanks for the reply.
