4R100 slipping??

Hey Guys,

I did a search and didn't find a good answer.

Well i have a pretty built 2000 expy with the 4r100 and today i noticed something strange. well I was stopped at a light turning right and the light turned and i accelerated and it started to move, then i gave it more throttle and i watched the rpm's fly up but the speed didn't, so i let off the thottle and then reapplied and the truck started moving again at the right speed. i was really not happy and i thought i was the converter slipping. so i kept driving around and then i pulled up to another light and a yellow mustang pulled up and looked like he wanted to race. so i power braked it and brought my rpm's to about 1700 and then the light turned and there was a half-a- second pause then it started pulling like normal. the truck and tranny have about 71000 miles on it and the last time i changed the fluid was last x-mas. i have about 20k on it since. i was taking to my buddies tranny shop this week anyway to install my factory-tech valve body and install a autometer tranny guage. what does everybody think my problem is?

Do you think a simple filter/fluid change will solve it?

I know i am off of the powertrain warrenty because of the blower so i am not taking back to the dealer.

I had a superchip installed before the blower and i love the shifts. they were solid when under WOT and then when driving around normal they were non-existant. Now i have the stock Kenne-Bell chip in and i hate it, the WOT shifts are weak and the normal driving chips are way to clunky.

Thanks for the help in advance.
