KYFordFreak and everyone else

I guess I should apologize, sometimes I get in a joking mood. It's not like I've never said anything incorrect. I guess the thing that shocked me is that someone would imply an engine is shot, period. I really seriously don't know much about cars (or as much as most here, excluding Anti-honda), and even if someone had the most extreme post about blue flames shooting out from under the hood and minor explosions blasting parts in the air, I would still not say "sounds like the engine is shot.." Well, maybe I would in that case, but you get my drift....

"Hey, I get some severe grinding going from 2nd to 3rd,"

"Well, don't know much about that, but sounds like your engine is shot.."

What kind of response is that?!? Anyway, I am sorry for being a smart-a$$....But everyone has to admit, including Anti-Honda, that his response was WAY WAY out of left field...What if the poster didn't know that much about cars and was seriously thinking his engine needed replacing? That's not a nice thing to do to a fellow Ford owner...

Anti-Honda

Despite your long tenure of 1 month on the board here, I'll just let you know that AjRagno gives excellent responses and I've yet to see him ask a stupid question. And all the stupid responses he gives is because he intends them to be stupid responses...

Seriously man, there's nothing to be ashamed of if you aren't Mr. Mechanic, I'm not and there's others on here too. Just don't go posting crazy conclusions to torque converter issues, and don't go insulting the mechanical experts we do have here....

I seriously don't understand your need (or apparent need) to seek abuse here. Just relax, post if you have a question or can offer some insight, and realize that there are guys here that could or have built a car from scratch and maybe you should defer to them and show some respect. This site isn't very useful if it's just a free-for-all when someone has an issue and everybody and his mother responds with an answer. I could get my grandma to respond to mechanical posts. She would say, "Name the car Prissy and talk nice to it.." What good would a post like that do?

After, Anti-Honda informed everyone of what a moron I am, I went way back, looking for examples. Turns out he was right I have asked a few questions, and given a few answers that now I would consider way off base.

Recently, my sarcasm has been taken as insults even though that was not my original intention. To everyone I've argued with: I am genuinely sorry.

My point is, that I think the atmosphere of the website has become very hostile recently and I'm pretty sure this is not what, Steve had in mind when he developed F150online.

This is supposed to be "the web site for owners and enthusiasts of the late model Ford F-150 and other full size Ford truck models."

I think we all need to be more diplomatic in our responses to our fellow F-150 owners and show our appreciation for having such a forum to share and learn from.

I don't want, Steve, Doug and Brooks to feel like they need to babysit us.

Maybe I could use manual / AOD trans fluid instead ?

That is what I do not understand. I said nothing towards him in my original post. In fact, I said nothing to provoke the response that he gave me. And then here we go with the name calling towards me. I never came to any conclusions about anything. I just wanted the original poster to clarify what they were talking about.

Instead of trying to help out the guy with his problem, everyone just seems to be pissing on me for no reason. I never said anything to attack anyone, nor did I give any conclusions about some torque thing. That is not even what I was thinking about. But whatever.

The statement above was directed toward cpadpl. I knew to leave well enogh alone with anti-honda. Cpadpl don't you go getting all hostile on me too and there's no need to apologize to me.
I'm just the type of person that likes to joke around all day. It's much more pleasant to make a joke and laugh at someone/something. I guess it's a fine line and I probably crossed it and rubbed someone the wrong way. For that I'm sorry.
From now on I going to be grouped with cpadpl as a "Bad one". Everywhere I go I'll have to hang my head in shame for terrible remarks I made.

... and I know that I'm not okay, never have been, never will be. I was dropped on my head to many times as a kid.

That wasn't done by accident. For years the medical profession has been attempting to get Kentucky doctors to realize there is no medicinal value in doing that. However, no one can get the State Board of Medicine in Kentucky to do anything about it...Mostly because they are all related to themselves and the doctors they oversee....

Now that is really being an a$$hole....Seriously, almost everything I do is in a strange sense of humor. Sometimes I actually see picking on someone as a genuine form of affection...so I seriously didn't mean to pick on anyone, especially if its a kid (as AjRagno suggests Anti-honda is)....I'm just trying to find ways to amuse myself...

HaHaHaha, HeHeHe that's the funniest thing I have ever heard.... hey wait a mintute that wasn't so funny

Also, your wrong most are accident's. How do you expect the doctor to hold the kid and reach into his pocket to pull out his tobacco so the kid can have his first chew? Also, his hands are greasy from the pig catching contest at the local fair (other words family reunion) he jsut came from before delivering the baby.

I wish everone would take note. If it's just someone playing a joke and having a sense of humor. Just calm down and play along, maybe even step it up one notch to something they didn'twouldn't say. I mean how can you put someone down when they do it to themselves. It just takes all the fun out of it for the other person.
