Only 1. It's used on the Super Duty's too but I think it does have some different internals and of course different programming.

There are 2 different models for the Expy, the 4WD and the 2WD, of all the 30 plus models of 4R100 the Expy 5.4 is about the lightest duty made, it would have 3 gear planets, 2 plate OD, 4 plate forward and direct clutches and a 5 plate low/reverse. Almost any modular 4R100 is at least equal or an upgrade from the Expy model. Only lighter one is the LEV emission 5.4 F-150 (non Lightning) model.

Factory Tech, with a 5.4L Expy w/ATI, shift kit, and chip, my trans shifts abit hard from 1-2, even at 10-15mph. It never shifts smooth, you always feel it. I have the 4r100 trans, am I about to bust the bad boy with abuse like this?

I don't know anything about the ATI shift kit, but if you have a chip that raises line pressure with software it will damage the pump long term, most of the time. If you cvan get your chip re-burned I would call them and ask them if they raise line pressure and if they do will they re-burn it to reset the line pressure to factory settings. It's a real issue that is just now becoming big in warranty work, they look for a chip if you have pump damage, I'm told.

Sorry, ATI supercharger, Line Mod Valve, and chip. The chip is burned more mild after the first time bec it was a little ridiculas. It does not slam shifts anymore but it is slightly harsh.
