Working on Short-Throw shifter

Just like to let all of you 5-speed's know that I'm in the works with short throw shifter. It will be a stock shifter that will be machined shorter and will come in 2 models... stock shift *** and threaded *** so you can use aftermarket shift ****.

God... I hop I'm not violating vendor rules.

probably be available in 2-4 months. I've got alot of work still on getting up and running.

Just really wanted to know who is interested so I can see how many I need to make for my first batch.

How about some pics when you get one made up.
I was looking in my service manual on cd, at the shift lever removal. It seems that it would be possible to modify an aftermarket shifter to work. I think it would be necessary to weld the proper end to connect.
Anything would be better than what we have. If you can come up with something that would improve shifting, you would have at least a few sales here!
Idealily a short throw shifter assembly, one that changes the piviot to reduce the throw, would make the most concrete difference. Hurst (nor any other maker) has brought a device like this to the table, yet. Looking at the linkage it's clear that a short throw shifter for our trucks isn't quite as easy as one for say yhe Mustang.

if you are able include a feature that makes it impossible to overshift and break the shift forks. basically that would involve calculating the optimal shifter position for each gear and having stops that do not allow the stick to be rammed farther that is necessary; this just puts alot of pressure on the forks, which in the trannies that i've seen taken apart (tremec3550 and getrag from a chevy truck) are aluminum.

having stops is a good idea because then it would be possible to ram the crap out of the shifts without worrying so much.
