hard shifts with chip

my friend has a 00 lightning and he is having very hard 1-2 shifts with the diablo chip, he also put in the new drain pan and valvebody, my only question is whin shifting from 1-2 it will snap your neck back whin the tranny throwes it in to 2nd is this normal or is it too hard

Try taking the chip out to see if that isolates the problem between the 2 products. If you're getting extremely harsh light throttle shifts, most likely you have valve body, accumulator, or installation problems. If these products are correctly functioning and programmed for extremely harsh WOT shifts, then that transmission will snap your neck.

L's are the exception

Buy a chip for a F-150 and you get a nice shift.
Buy a chip for a Lightning, and you get slamed.
It's just how the programs are setup for our L's. I like the super firm shifts in my L.
