tranny?

Ok, this is strange, if i put my truck in drive it dies unless i give it gas right when i do it. then when i come to a sudden stop it will die.. But if i stop slowly it wont die. Aslo when it downshifts from 2nd to 1st it kicks down real hard (the whole truck jolts)...

Sounds like an engine problem as far as it dieing out as far as the hard shift it might be a bad TC.

Did you ever get around to checking the tranny filter?????

There's also a TSB for the leaking transmission extention housing seal that you brought up in another message. If you do a search here under "Extention", it is listed.

You could also have a problem with some sort of an air leak in the enigne or intake. Stalling on sudden deceleration is a good indicator of an air leak. Maybe even the IAC valve being stuck. If you have a lot of miles on high octane fuel, it tends to leave a carbon built up in the IAC, EGR & DPFE systems.
