I had this crazy idea! Is it possible to put a T5 trans in my truck. A friend of mine took one out of his stallion and put a T3 in, so hes got a T5 sitting around and i could get it for FREE! I know I would have to get a new short throw shifter for the f150, but im just not sure if it would physically fit and be to the proper dimensions. I figure that my truck would be the closest thing to a mustang, being that its a 5.0, just need to know if I should jump on this opertunity?

 

I guess it would fit. Only question is, will it be strong enough for a truck. Truck weighs a lot more than the stang, so the extra weight might put too much strain on it.
