Changing Fluids

I am thinking about changing the fluids on my truck. I have a 98 F150 with 5.4 motor and the offroad package. I found an article to change the Trans. fluid but I would like to know if anyone has any articles to change the differental and transfer case. Also what fluids would you rec. for the trans, diff. and transfer case.

Thanks
Justin

I haven't done it yet (transfer case/rear end) but it's best to look in your Ford owners manual.

I think the transfer case is regular atf. Not sure about the rear end. Usually 80/90w. Don't forget the friction modifier if it's a LS diff.

Most guys after draining the transfer case use a hose (Home Depot) and attach a small funnel, then run the hose from the fill hole on the transfer case up between the bed and cab where they fill it using a funnel on the hose. Apparently works like a charm. Just put a drain pan under the transfer case if you overfill it.
