My automatic E40D tranny in my 1992 F-150 is just about toast. However i have a built C6 ready to go. The Tranny in the truck now is computer controlled, as you know the C6's are all non-electric vacuum operated units. If i swap in the C6 will i have any problems?? I don't care if it throws a check engine light as long as it doesn't mess with the engine speed because it thinks it's stuck in 1st gear or something.

I had no problems when i switched my 1991 E4od trans to a C-6.
I left the wiring harness set in the neutral position and zipped tied it up underneath out of the way.
