transgo 4r70w question
I purchased a transgo kit for my 99 4.6 auto but have a few questions before I attempt the install.
1st: on the bottom of page 2 it says grind or file this edge flush with the valve body? Is this required?
2nd: Did anyone do any of the "If trans is apart" upgrades? Are they easy? necessary?
3rd: I want to put synthetic atf in afterwards, do I need to drain the torque converter, or can I just add the synthetic to the non synthetic? If I can't how do you drain the torque converter? -- thanks for your help!!!!!!!!

Hey Jabber,
I Just puchased a Transgo Kit for my 97 4.6. I haven't Installed my kit yet. But I have changed the fluid and filter before, there's a drain plug on the torque converter it self. I would drain it then put the synthetic ATF in it. You just need to remove the rubber cover from the bottom of the trans housing to get to the drain plug on the Torque Converter. Then line up the drain plug with the hole. I hope this helps and maybe someone else can help us both out on your other questions.
thanks,
Billy R
