Angry 2001 F150 Transmission Noise

My 2001 F150 (4000 miles) is in the shop for the second time in one wek for automatic transmission repairs. I originally took it in for a vibration and buzzing noise while in Drive and at idle....Diagnosis...bad solenoid intransmission, ....Repair....replace solenoid.

The noise is now gone but unfortunately, the transmission slams really bad when going from 2nd and into 3rd gear. I suppose they screwed something up when they reassembled the transmission.

It's back in the shop today. Now they are telling me other solenoids are bad and they will have to be ordered. Imagine that! I live in Dallas TX and there are no F150 transmission solenoids available here! I believe I bought a lemon guys!

Thumbs down Frank-

Solenoids have been a huge source of problems in earlier versions of the 4R70W. Funny that they can't find any with the Ford multi-state parts warehouse up north on Beltline Rd. in Carrolton. The mechanics don't sound like they're top notch, but be patient it can be fixed.

Do you have a 5.4. I have the problem of shifting from 3 to fourth vibrates and my gears have always slammed,I thought that was part of Fords crap.I don't think I will ever by another Ford truck,to many small problems.
