i have a 2000 f150 supercab and just went thru the whole 1.02 radiator to the 1.4. now that i have the correct radiator im wondering if anyone has the specs on the transmission cooler that comes with the super cooling packag?? ive heard there r two different coolers for this year..if they messed up the radiator i want to make sure the cooler is correct. thanks in advance.

 

The standard cooler looks like it has 9 segments including the top and bottom plates and the upgraded cooler looks like it has 13. The Ford specs call for 14 and 22, but visually it looks different. This is with the 4R70W transmission.

 

yes this one appears to have 13. the" "fin section measures 8 inches X 7. so i guess ive got the right 1. one more question. how can i tell if ive got the 70 w or 100 automatic trans. on the sticker it has optional electronic 4sd auto overdrive. so i figure ive got the 100? can somebody tell me how to find out the differenc??

 

Looks like you have it; GREAT !! One day I looked at about 30 on my lot and several didn't have it. Most V-8 F-150s have the 4R70W which has transmission code "U" on the driver's door jamb sticker. The trucks that have the 4R100 have transmission code "E".
