I've got a 2001 xcab 4x4 with a 4.6 and i really love this truck ,,,,,,when in 3rd gear and rpm is about 2700 ,, the torque is great up until 5000 ,,, ,, what i would like (if posible) is for my 4th gear to have that same torque and keep pulling like it does when it's in 3rd ,,,,,,,,,cause soon as i hit 4th gear ,, i can see the torque go down like crazzy and the truck doesn't accelerate fast cause i'm up to about 85mph ,,
so that's my question ,,,,,,what would be needed so that the 4th gear actually pulls similar to when i have it in 3rd????
any hints?

 

Higher speeds......not kidding !! Try lower gears.
