i just bpught a used 2001 s crew 5.4 auto 4x4 with 10k miles. i am concerned about the 1to2 shift. under moderate pedal when the shift comes its really slow and sloppy. is this common or should i start to worry?

 

Stock they are slow and sloppy. It might be really hard for anyone to know exactly what you're feeling. If you can, try to find another you can drive to compare.

To fix it, I'd say first a Superchip! If you want to go more extreme, start looking into shift kits! The chip will really make a big difference.
