Question shift linkage adjustment

I have an 95 F-150 4-speed with an overdrive and I'm having problems every once in awhile shifting into first gear. If I press in the clutch twice it goes right in. It only does this going into 1st gear. Does anyone know if I need to adjust my shift linkage, and if so is it easy to do.

Thanks for any help

Matt

I believe I read somewhere here that those (pre-97) are also hydraulic systems, so there's no mechanical linkage to adjust.
