My first post so bar with me and I will try to get this right the first time. I have a 2003 Ford f150 Lariat 4x4 with the 5.4 V8. The VIN number is 1FTRW08L83KC10259. I'm wanting to if I can swap this transmission out with a transmission from a 2010 2011 Ford e-150 van, the numbers on the van transmission are Ac2p 7000 ca filo pkf1lo A4321 130711 076241. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

 

Nope. Nothing newer than 2003 can be used and a 2wd transmission cannot be used.

If your transmission is 1LP3-JA you can use a 2001-2003 4x4 4R70W transmission out of a 5.4 F150. If you have a 2L1P-FA, you can use only a 2003 4x4 4R70W transmission out of a 5.4 F150 or Expedition for a direct interchange. 4R70W is door jamb code "U".

If you have a rare 4R100 1L3P-BC you can use a 2001-2003 F150/Expedition/Navigator 4x4 4R100 transmission. 4R100 is door jamb code "E".

Other years or a 4.6 transmission may work, but it has to be a direct model interchange - 4R70W or 4R100 - and it must be out of a 4x4.

Finding it will be difficult, since production of this model has long ceased, and original spare parts are rare.
