I recently swapped the tranny out of my 2008 f150 with one out of a 2004 are they the same wiring and plugs ?

Is there away to check which tranny it is by looking at it ? I got the tranny over a year ago and don't really remember . I do know it was out of a 5.4 and it wasnt older then a 2004 . I have looked at the interchange list and it said 2004 to 2008 are interchangable
