Hi, so i have a 1998 f150 with the 4r70w and a 4.6 2v. I was replacing the shifter arm seal. I did not realize the vehicle had to be in neutral. I removed the shift linkage where it connects to the trans and removed the range sensor, seal repair went fine but when i put it back together i lined the range sensor up with the neutral position and the shift linkage with the park position but it will not shift further than reverse. I then took apart the dash and disconnected the linkage there as well. It is not binding up within the linkage or at the transmission. At the collumn the shifter binds up somehow. There is no way to get the vehicle into neutral. Please help.
