Remove shifter **** on 2000 F150??

How do you remove shifter **** in a 2000 f150 . No idea whether previous owner installed an after market or whether it’s oem but it doesn’t have shift pattern printed on it.

Unless the PO glued it on, a little bit of twisting while pulling up should take it off.

Manual shift? It pulls straight up and off, it's splined and doesn't twist.
