E250 Transmission Compatibility

I have a 2012 E250 with the 5.4 that lost 3rd gear and overdrive last week. I have a 2009 E250 with a seized up 4.6 that has a good transmission. Can I swap the transmission from the 2009 into the 2012? Both are 4r75e transmissions. From what I've been seeing on other posts, it sounds like in 2008 and earlier would not be compatible. I don't want to go through the work of dropping both transmissions just to find out that they aren't interchangeable. Attached are the transmission tags if it makes a difference.

2012 (bad)

2009 (good)
Thanks in advance.

They should interchange, but use a 5.4 torque converter. I'd recommend a reman instead of reusing yours.

Thanks for the confirmation. This is the information I had pieced together through my browsing. Just had a successful test drive after the swap. All harnesses were plug and play. We run them in the winter for our sidewalk crews and the only reason it was even worth fixing was because we had a parts van. Otherwise they are just throwaway vehicles around here. They only get about 3-4000 miles a year and are only here for 5 years and typically the drivetrain outlasts the bodies on them lol
