Which transmission do I have. I have 2001 f150 lariat with the triton 5.4 v8. Is it the 4r70ID1L3PA-JA or the 4r70IDYL3P-LA. How can I tell

Only way to tell is to see if the service tag is still there and legible.

You'll have to crawl under there and look....

is it on the bottom or the top-.of the transmission. I'm trying to order one before pulling this one

If you are facing the tail shaft, it is on the right on the side where the fluid lines come in at...

thank you for your help. One last question are they interchangeable

I'm pretty sure they are interchangeable. However, a 2wd and 4wd transmission is not.

135 lb plus 35 to 40 lb for the converter. Shipped on a pallet figure 220 lb.
