Confirming Transmission

Bought a used truck. 2009 F150 XLT 4X4 ExCab 4.6 Automatic

The "T" code on the door is 6.
The gear selector is PRND321 and it has Tow/Haul selector.

This is the 6R80 trans and it is a six speed?

Correct. The 4.6 2 valve used a 4 speed 4R75, the 4.6 3 valve and 5.4 3 valve used the 6R80 in the 2009 and 2010 F150. All engines used the 6R80 starting in 2011.

Thanks.
One follow up question.
When looking online for the transmission filter and gasket, I go through all the step identifying the vehicle and some results say the filter is for the 5.4 and don't mention the 4.6. I assume it will still work?

6R80 is 6R80.

The proper way to change the transmission fluid is with an exchange machine. No filter or gasket required. No conventional dipstick, there's one on the filler cap located on the side of the transmission under the truck. Mercon LV fluid required.
