Question Rear differential

I have a 2010 fx4, the rear differential front bearing went out and my son drive the truck🤦🏻‍♀️ The ***** from the bearing chewed everything in hogs head up ring and pinion and all, I have purchased all the ring and pinion and all seals and bearings to replace all the damaged parts, the man working on my truck wants to replace the housing because he said it may be damaged it’s not cracked or leaking, but he says it’s wallowed out a little and he is afraid the parts may not fit back right, now my problem is finding a housing without spending my life savings, I have found axle codes of B6,L9 and etc.. I just need empty housing!! Are any of these interchangeable with mine??

I think all F150 8.8 housings are the same and all 9.75 housings are the same depending of course on the year. I think I would consider returning all the new parts and find a complete housing with all the gears from a salvage yard. The labor charge would be a lot less too.

Try to find the same size rear from the same generation truck in a junkyard with the same axle code.

return all your new parts....cheaper to buy loaded rear diff. car-part shows MANY around $1k.....depends specifically what gear and if you have an e-locker.
Now if you have the 9.75 diff I know you have at least $750 in new parts then you are PAYING somebody else to do this....so $1k and you twist 12 bolts and be done....just saying
