Down shifting on hills

Down shifting on hills

Hi everyone new to site and trucks just bought a 2013 F-150 fx2 5.0 with 6in lift kit with 35x12.50r18lt tires love the truck but when driving interstate most hills it will down shift when tryin to go over and also there a bump on take off I bought grease from ford but it may last 2 week any help would be appreciated before I start throwing money at it

First question - has the computer been reprogrammed for the oversize tires? To check, use a GPS and compare the speed between it and the speedometer.

Downshifting on hills is normal, that's a 6 speed transmission, both 5th and 6th are overdrives.
