98 f150 5 speed stuck in 1st

98 f150 5 speed stuck in 1st

Ok all I burned my clutch up but I undid the shifter thinking I could ad the tranny fluid might help. Nada. Replaced flywheel clutch slave cylinder. Still stuck. Any advice?

Why did you remove the shifter to add fluid? It has a fill plug...........

I suggest taking it to a transmission shop, and having them take it apart to fix it.

There could be a number of things stuck or broke.

They will either rebuild it, or get you a reman depending on how much got busted up inside.

What happened FIRST?
What did you do?
Now what is wrong?

Ok all I guess u tube had the answer. What happened was I had taken it out while it was still in gear. So I looked it up on u tube and found out how to get it fixed.
