I have a 97 F150 4.6L V8 with 33" tires 3.55 gears/KN FPIK, and a superchip. I bought the truck with 34 K on it...did I tranny service at 36k with ford. Things went well until 60K in which I scheduled a trans service again. I gave them the fluid, gasket, filter etc...I get my truck back all they did was a flush, I was told I didnt need a full change. 6k later my fluid is burnt and my trans shot according to ford. The thing is slipping in d to OD....I feel it bump as it gets out of gear when I am stopping etc...This truck has never towed anything since i have had it. Did ford mess it up? I hear ford trannies are crap? Anybody? What the heck is going on 65K? oh ya there is shaving in it to know...
