PLEASE HELP! 4R75W Transmission Issues

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2008 F150 5.4L 4x4 with 155K Miles and a 4R75W Transmission. A few months ago i started to have issues with my trans, when i would go from Park to Drive it would not engage, and if i would step on the gas to like 2000 RPM it would kick in HARD and then be ok. After its on drive when I’d stop and go it would run like normal. Only issue was getting it into drive from the begging. Then i figured out when it wouldn’t go into drive i would put it in reverse and then druve again and it would engage fine. So i did that till last week when the truck would act up all the time. Took the trans down and Fluid was BURNT. Took it to a builder and he rebuilt it , i put it back on and the Tranny is running fine but its still doing the same thing where it wont engage into Drive. If i put it in 1, then 2 the D it runs fine. But not straight out of D. Builder is saying it has to be electrical, any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you scanned the OBD2 for any Ford transmission codes?
