Snapped trans plug

I have a 2010 f150 with the 6r80. I must have ober tightened the trans plug and when trying to take it out it snapped leaving the threads still in the trans. Along with the dipstick collar. Which is holding it in. Whats the best way to fix this? Considering i dont have a lift.

I would carefully drill it out and with a vacuum catching the shards.

I mean carefully drill without damaging the threads. You'll want to drill small, then step it up to weaken the plug to get it out with a pair of needle nose.

I've done it before on other things and this processed worked, albeit time consuming and tedious.

The other thing you can try is an easy out screw extractor on an impact. But be careful, the easy out head can snap and leave you in a bigger mess. Trying to drill a drill is very difficult.

I think every time I've used an ez-out, it snapped off and made the problem much worse.
