F-150 Transmission Type

Hello,
i am trying to find the transmission type for my 2010 F-150 XLT 4.6 v8 2 WD.. i have gotten so many different answers online. but it keeps going back to the 4R70E/ 4R75E?? any answers??!!!

i was told the engine type is - V8 4.6l 281 CI Gas MFI VIN 8- 3 VALVE SOHC? i have no idea that that means

If you have the 3 valve engine, your transmission is the 6R80 six speed. If it's the 2 valve, then it's a 4R7x something 4 speed.
