Help ID a tranny.

According to the door code "Q" on my 07 4.6l 4x2 I have a 4r75e tranny.
I'm looking at replacing it with a used tranny til I can afford to have mine rebuilt.

I have a line on one from an 04 4.6 4x2 that has a door code of "A". What model would that be and will it work for me?

Thanks in advance.

Btw, I have been using the search feature in the forum, just haven't found an answer yet.

Thanks.
Worked with the vins I have. Now I just need the vin from the one I'm looking at.

2005-2008 F series and E series transmission is a direct bolt in. Passenger car transmission will also work, but you need the short output shaft model and it will require that you swap the shifter arm in the transmission, which requires removing the pan and taking stuff apart.

2007-2008 model year is preferable since they have upgraded hard parts from the factory that 2005-2006 do not have.

2004 is a odd ball year, some will fit, some wont.

Found a 4r75e out of an 06 today. Only 20 minutes away.
Hopefully it's decent.
Thanks for the replies.
