Need some info on a trans swap 05 f150 4.6
The trans in my 05 STX went out for a second time (with only 40k on it) so I'm swapping it out for a junkyard trans (funds are too low to do recon trans with a wedding and honeymoon in 2 months)
The old Trans is a 4r70e (possibly 4r70w but last time i ran the numbers it came up as an e)
New Trans is a 4r75e from an 06 with a 5.4L.
My shop is less than 3 blocks from the Ford dealer if it needs to be flashed over the VSS.
Where I'm having an issue is if the Torque Converters are the same? Going through all my info I can't find anything about them.
