Transmission "clunk" when startarting from a stop

I don't know any other way to explain it other than when starting from a stop sign or red light, I feel a slight klunk, fees just like the klunk when a kind of heavy can is rolling around in the trunk of a car.

Like a 1gal can of paint or something similar. Just on startup from a stop. When hot or cold, on a hill or not.

Just in case someone here has some insight on this, thanks in advance

It could be the driveshaft slip yoke, if you are on warranty the dealer should clean and lube it for you.

Hi Greg,

It sounds like a trip to the dealership is in your future; they'll be in the best position to get this diagnosed. What's the current mileage on your truck?

UPDATE: Local dealer repaired the "clunk" by servicing the slip yoke.

Also fixed the warped front brake rotors by resurfacing them.

But they wanted $120 to activate my DRL. I said no.
