tranny question

I asked on the board last month what type of transmission has a clutch to get out of neutral but the rest of the shifts is controlled by a paddle system. The basic system is called a clutchless manual trasmission. Well after doing some research i discovered that Ford sells a clutchless manual transmission as an option on their transit vans in europe and australia.

Does any one know anything else about it. the trasmission is called Smartshift by Sterling Components

Just a note for the few people that told me that this type of transmission is not used in SCORE and CORR they are they are used. Most of them are produced by Hewland.
