Someone added a regular oil filter kit to their automatic transmission cooler, on a 1994 Explorer. Has anyone done this with a F150?

Seems like a good idea, considering the normal filter for the oil is only a 'metal net'. This would also add extra capcity to the transmission.

 

Metal net?? every tranny I serviced(Ford) has a paper filter element in either a metal or plastic housing.
