Hey everyone my tranny has been shifting hard for a while now not all the time seems just at certain rpm or speed had a trans fault code today but reset once turned truck off and on again. Could this be the shift solenoid I heard they were bad that that and are fairly easy to change?

 

how about some more information....year make and model? which transmission?

Hey sorry guys lol it is a 2007 f150 5.4L with 96000 kms on it. My trans fault light cam on again today it's like the tranny goes into limp mode but goes away when I turn the vehicle off then back on.

You need to get the OBD2 scanned for the fault codes.

I recommend having your dealer take a look at this. They'll be in the best position to diagnose and repair this for you.
