2013 XLT Transmission Temp

I have noticed that after driving for about 45 min the Transmission temp is at 194 dg, it seems high? the old 2005 f150 it never got above 149 dg in normal driving.
What is the normal temp on the 6 speed?
How high will the temp get towing if its 194 dg in normal driving?

Thanks

That sounds about right. Remember that you are using Mercon LV fluid now, it's low viscosity.

normal

your 6R80 transmission has a thermostat set for 190 or so. In regular driving in warm weather mine runs about 190-195 without the trailer. The highest I've seen is 213 after towing hard up a hill and then hitting urban traffic. The Mercon LF fluid is fine working at that temp.
