Angry Bad Transmission

Well once agian my truck is in the shop....Been a while since I have been on the board, as I have been laid off from two jobs this summer as well.
But just thought that I would let anyone know that they might have problems with the factory remanufactured transmissions because of some type of holding device for the valve body. It breaks and causes 1-2 shift problems, or at least it did in my truck. Now they are replacing my transmission agian (3rd tranny in 54,000 miles). I am not a happy camper, and still trying to fight it out with Ford for them to take my truck back.
Just had to vent a little bit. Truck has been in the shop since August 6.....and it is August 28 and still waiting to get it back.

Mine is being replaced right now and it has 28,xxx miles on it. The tech said it had excessive low speed line pressure causing very hard shifts and clunk. They have already replaced my transmission, but I am still not able to drive it home. Apparently their $50,000 computer system used to diagnose and then reprogram the OBD computer and PCM will not re-flash my PCM.

What gives?

I also do not understand the polished drive shaft up near were it enters the rear of the transfer case. This polished area is about 2.5-3 inches in width and the only item that makes contact with it is bushing in the transfer case. Are drive shafts supposed to move 2.5-3 inches during day-today operation, or could this be the source of the 5.4L 4r70w clunk?

They gave me a rental and it is a CHEVY, but at least this truck is drivable.

Yeah there should be a space at the end of the driveshaft for "slip" there for the name slip joint....Every 4x4 has them from what I know....I used to have a 89 Cherokee, and that had a grease-able slip joint on it....that was really nice.
I have been driving around in a 2001 Taruas since Aug. 6....and just want my truck back so that I can drive it and not just throw this monthly payment out the door when I can't even drive it.....Hum, maybe I should hit the dealer up for a payment since they have had my truck so long???? Not a bad idea if I do say myself.
Good luck, I have been having many more problems with my truck than just the tranny.....(Motor, ignition coils).
