More Problems

Hey guys,
This is just sort of an update from a couple of threads a had a couple of weeks ago about my tranny not wanting to shift (truck wouldn't move). If you read the other threads you read that I dropped the pan and changed the gunked up filter (filter was black on the inside) and put fluid back in. She ran great for about 400 miles and now once again I'm having problems. As I was driving in to work on Monday, once I would get up to about 35 MPH my truck weould rev up really high and not want to go up into 3rd gear. I dropped the pan today and changed the filter again and refilled with new fluid and a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix. After getting everything situated and ready to go, I back out of our shop and took her for a drive down the road only to find that the problem wasn't fixed ... I pulled back into our shop and told my dad (who also happens to be my boss and the owner of the shop). He seemed to be a little more relaxed and less irritated than I was haha. Anyway, we've decided to just have it rebuilt. I was going to go ahead and drop the tranny today but dad said to hold off and have our head mechanic do it on Monday (he's on vacation this week) since he's more experienced with transmissions that I am. My dad put in a call to a friend of his today that lives close to us that was regarded as the best transmission guy around before he retired about 5 years ago. One of our guys that works on our front counter as a salesman referred to him as a "Ford Guru". Anyway, just wanted to give those of you that were following my earlier threads an update.
