Well, you should have a 4r75 trans and it's already pretty stout. Only ppl that I've seen that needed them upgraded were guys running tons of boost or giant tires. Otherwise the stock trans works pretty well with just a tune

I've seen plenty of posts of people's 4R75E's failing here and yes there are way more that haven't failed considering this is the internets, just thought there'd be a certain shop that made a somewhat bulletproof transmission for these trucks.

There is a shop on I-35(the access road) just as you exit 35 for Renfro. They build performance tranny's and if I ever need one, that is where I will check first. There is also that little Ford shop on Renfro just East of the tracks near Old Town. They do a lot of Mustang builds. I would also check to see who they recommend.

I am getting ready to get me a built tranny as well, I will be looking at BCA, though there is another I checked into that had an ad on this forum, performabuilt was the company, have not heard anything on this forum about them.

Stealth, any updates on your built transmission search? Just curious, as next month for sure I have to get one. Mine is slipping and I cannot use OD anymore. I noticed the issues after I installed my performance valve body, wondering if it was having issues before and the VB just made it more apparent.
