How much are the shift kits?

... like Trans-Go and Baumann?

I want one for my truck. But not sure. The guys at Baumann don't have email going, so it's hard to find out if I should get one.

But want to see if it's fiscally possible first.

I bought a TransGo kit from Summit for $104.49 including shipping.
It came with a video and that helped since I had not been that far into an auto trans before.
Still running strong after many thousands of miles.

Baumann kit $110.00 with 2nd day air shipping.
Went in this past weekend & I went with stage 5 because I'm a lunitic.
Truck is starting to scare me now. LOL
But really it runs great...

Thanks for the replies

Joe T,

What is the bypass valve?

Joe T, T Ellenberger,

Is there anything else to consider buying? There was some stuff in the website, something like a baumanator or something like that.

What's the opinion on buying any additional options?

Thanks again,
Joel

Hey there,
This is off their web site...
This precision replacement valve and orificed sleeve are manufactured by Sonnax utilizing superior construction and materials. These redesigned components help to prevent and eliminate torque converter clutch slip and shudder concerns in AOD-E and 4R70W transmissions. This valve is recommended for any AOD-E or 4R70W transmission that has higher mileage or has experienced torque converter clutch problems.

Catalog Number: BCV-AOD-E

It is 1 of the easiest parts to replace as long as you have the valve body out.
I suggest you call Gregg at Baumann. He will be happy to help you..

Joe T
